The new Turkish series, “Kızıl Goncalar“ which began its broadcast in a controversial manner, continues to face tension.
Since its debut, the series Kızıl Goncalar has become the target of religious congregations and orders. The tension has been escalating day by day, reaching an increasingly unmanageable level.
Today, the “Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK)” imposed a 3% administrative fine and two suspensions of the program on Fox TV’s controversial series, “Kızıl Goncalar.”
Starring Özcan Deniz and Özgü Namal, the series focuses on both religious orders and secular family lives, shedding light on the influence of these orders in the public sphere and government institutions.
On the other hand, there are claims that it is “intentionally portraying Islam in a negative light.” These allegations are considered as potent as the arguments from the opposing side.
